R.I.P Ryan!!!
R.I.P RYAN he was a beautiful lil boi who we all loved very much but sadly he had his life taken
away from him just after he had turned 4 he was a cheery lad with a cheeky laugh and nice big warm
cuddles and i just wanna say ryan i miss you bby boi and you are always with me were eva i go coz ur
in my head and my heart 4 eva n always. I wish i cud see you again and listen to your lil laugh
again, i wish i could have 1 of your bug loving cuddles again and i wish i could chase u around n
pick u upside down again and i will one day! your family love you with all their hearts and miss you
there is not 1 day that goes by wen they and alot of others dont think about you! look down on us
all and keep us safe especialy your family bbe! we all love and miss you for nw bby boi we love you!

Ryan was murdered by his own dad? one week after his 4th birthday. His sister Donna(aged 14 years)
was also injured in the frenzied attack. After a 5 hour life saving operation Donna survived. Her
physical wounds are now well on the mend but the mental scars will be with her for life. Donna was a
very brave girl and gave evidence in court to make sure she got JUSTICE for Ryan.
at the court Mr Justice Wilkie told Hawkins "your daughter, by the way she gave her evidence, showed
herself to be a credit to herself, her mother and sister Natalie.This is more so when one is aware
of the pain and difficulties she has been subject to." Sentencing Hawkins "you profess great love
for Ryan and mourned his passing, in my judgement, having seen you give evidence and had the
oppotunity to assess your genuineness, these were crocodlie tears to this court.
Hawkins was jailed for life for at least 21 years before parole for this murder of Ryan and 12 years
to run concurrent for the attempted murder of Donna,
The community of Slaithwaite and Huddersfield were a great support to the family at this sad time.
Money was rasied to send the family to Disney in Florida. The family have been and really enjoyed
the holiday and thank the people of Slaithwaite and Huddersfield.
Donna and her freinds also raised money for a memorial for Ryan. Meal Hill playground at Hill Top
Slaithwaite as been dedicated to the memory of Ryan Hawkins the money raised paid for a plaque and
bench.
Donna for showing courage and campaign to the raise the money has been presented with a Diana Award
this award was set up in the memory of Princess Diana.Well done Donna.
